Jamie and Jeremy Wright
BJJ in Modesto, CA
We are a husband and wife duo teaching, training, and competing out of Ares BJJ Academy Modesto. We hold the unique accomplishment of having gone from white belts to black belts together. With over fifteen years of teaching experience, our youth programs now have close to one hundred students in total.
We’re absolutely grateful for the life we’ve made through Jiu Jitsu and we’re very excited to share our journey with you!

Jamie WrightBlack Belt
Jamie is a first degree black belt under professor Samir Chantre. She trains and teaches at Ares BJJ Academy in Modesto, Ca where she enjoys sharing her knowledge with students of all ages.
In 2023 Jamie began competing at the black belt level and after a silver medal at the IBJJF Phoenix Open she has won double gold twice in a row at the IBJJF Sacramento Open in November of 2023 and February of 2024.
Jamie has been a certified yoga instructor, she actively studies Jiu Jitsu and enjoys weightlifting.
Jeremy WrightBlack Belt
A first degree black belt under professor Samir Chantre, Jeremy has been in love with martial arts since the age of 8 years old when his parents enrolled him in Karate. He now competes at the black belt level, following in his professors footsteps and leading by example for his students. As a Modesto native, Jeremy is proud and honored to be teaching Jiu Jitsu at Ares BJJ Academy under Professor Samir Chantre.
